The ancient Hellgard Empire is coveted by the Druids of the New Kingdom. The four city states, Magra, Byzen, Hellgard and Port Kara are slowly being taken over by the Druids, and to that end, Archdruid Golmac has summoned the Warlord Dornoll to find a powerful weapon to ensure the collapse of the Empire—the Staff of Amdren.

The Warlord, being a wise woman that has survived hundreds of battles and nearly a century of intrigue, suspects this is just the beginning, and her footsteps will be mired in enemies attempting to use her to find the staff. She has devised a way to search for the staff and mislead her enemies at the same time.
